SARISTRA FESTIVAL 2022

Artistic research could be said to have begun in the Renaissance era by the wonder-worker Leonardo da Vinci, a multi-scientist and artist who, as a bright and generous man, cared about humanity and the arts and sciences with an evolutionary focus. To facilitate the lives of his time and future generations, he devised, among other things, new technological inventions that straddle the line between art and science. In our age of extreme specialization, which for me is toxic and stressful, I choose to tread a similar path and I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to advance my research on the Artistic Phone. The idea arises through the needs of the artists themselves, who make use of technology and are forced to adapt to different environments in a precarious manner in order to present their work. Research is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Through simple functions relating to health, communication, and entertainment, this mobile phone, which can also be worn like a glove, is accessible to everybody, without discrimination, while making use of cost-effective alternative energy sources. A first presentation of the phone will be held in April, including a catwalk with select performers in a vintage futuristic environment.
