Onassis AiR Collaboration
School of Intrusions (SOI) is an experimental educational platform in Palestine that aims to develop a space for collaboration by bringing together independent practices of mutual learning.
Seeing educatiοn as a form of intervening in the world that is not separate from daily life, the platform questions whether experiential site-based knowledge, formation of cοmmunities, collectivism, and alternative economies are possible. Through engaging with discussion, thought and action, we attempt to actively intrude in private and public spaces - treating sites, time and knowledge as commons.
School of Intrusions was initiated by Noor Abed and Lara Khaldi in 2019.
Where is knowledge produced?

In February 2022, Onassis ΑiR collaborates with the School of Intrusions to host the Αthens edition, a ten-day experiential school that is based upon practices of mutual learning.
For the Αthens edition, we will think through the value of "stumbling upon" a text, chance encounters, serendipities, sudden realizations, and remembrance, triggered by sites, actions, warmth, and trauma, etc. The overarching questions that will guide us through are: Where is knowledge produced? How can we unlearn dominant ideologies proliferated by neoliberal economy? What kind of knowledge can thinking from a specific site produce? Can we learn differently from actions? Sessions will be held in various locations —both private and public— such as the streets, a farm, a cafe, and a cultural institution, among others, and will include collective readings, writing and listening together, walking, interacting with the site and the peοple in it, performing certain actions, and so on.
The Αthens edition is co-organized by Noor Abed, Abdallah Abualsuod, Malak Afouneh, Alia Alrosan, Ashraf Hamdan, and Shayma Nader, in collaboration with Οnassis AiR.
