Introduction
A youthful theater company carry young and old alike away with their vivacity and imagination on an adventure in search of the rainbow, on a hunt for colors.
What would we do if we woke up one day and all the colors were gone? Well, the same thing, clearly, that the heroes of Alexis Kyritsopoulos’ “Fairytale of colors” do: we’d rush to the ends of the Earth in search of the Rainbow to bring them back — because life’s unbearable in black and white.
Eight musicians and dancers set off on a treasure hunt, talking, singing, dancing and playing their way through an adventure that will lead them into the unknown. Along the way, they will walk through images, test their wits against magnitudes and scales, acquaint themselves with shapes and the shapeless, keep their balance on some occasions and fall flat on their faces on others.
The default company, a group of young people who met in theater school in Thessaloniki and traveled to Berne and London to broaden their artistic horizons, come to Athens determined to make us wonder: might we already be living our lives in black and white?
