The celebrated physicist, Dimitri Nanopoulos, and the distinguished linguistician, George Babiniotis, explore the relationship between Science and the principles and values of contemporary humanism.

Exchanging views with each other and with the Onassis Stegi audience, the celebrated physicist, Dimitri Nanopoulos, and the distinguished linguistician, George Babiniotis, explore the relationship between Science—and the Positive Sciences, in particular—and the principles and values of contemporary humanism.

Taking their dialogue in the exceptionally well-received book "From the creation of the Cosmos to the creation of language" (in Greek) as their starting point, they discuss the role of a new humanism oriented towards the problems and challenges of the 21st century; a humanism which, capable of comprehending and utilizing the mind-bending achievements of science, can make a creative impact on the future development of the sciences, encouraging the “unity of disciplines” and guiding knowledge away from ‘artfulness’ and back towards ‘wisdom’.
