A durational performance or a live radio show? A performative symposium or a public forum? The experimental project “Radio (non-)Conference” is coming to Stegi.Radio, where artists, thinkers, and activists are sharing sonic and body-based practices around themes of migration, counter-memory, feminist perspectives, and movements of resistance.

“Radio (non-)Conference” is an experimental format at the intersection of durational performance, live radio show, performative symposium, and public forum. It invites artists, thinkers, and activists to share sonic and body-based practices around themes of migration, counter-memory, feminist perspectives, and movements of resistance. Coming from different disciplines, backgrounds, and geopolitical contexts, the invited contributions unfold the possibilities of radio to amplify marginalized voices, disseminate poetic acts of dissent, and instigate being-in-common through collective acts of listening.
The second edition of Radio (non-)Conference, realized in collaboration with Stegi.Radio, tunes into multiple histories, narratives, and bodies from Athens, branching out to the broader Mediterranean region. Connecting audiences, spaces, and voices from different times and places, a trans-local community is formed that disobeys the categories of national, international, central, and peripheral.
For one day, Onassis AiR will be transformed into a temporary radio station. The audience is invited to listen to the live broadcast on stegi.radio (online from Athens) and reboot.fm (Berlin, Potsdam, and online). The full-day program includes a radiophonic movement workshop, live performances, radiophonic rituals, lecture performances, sonic archives, readings, discussions, and more.
