In this workshop you will not just learn about but also live through the history of photography from beginning to end: from the time when each camera click shutter took four minutes of total stillness to contemporary times when digital photography has become an everyday habit.

An experiential workshop for teenagers who love photography and history, and are not afraid to experiment with their own “camera obscura” as well as with contemporary photography equipment.

The nineteenth century comes to life in the National Garden. It awaits bold photographers to travel through time and depict unique images just like the first ever photographers. Through creative exercises, teenagers and parents will learn together notions such as frame, light, shadows, and viewpoint. At the same time, they will discover the secrets of the National Garden through their shutter.

Programmed for the 2019-20 season, the educational program has been postponed due to the precautionary national health measures put in place by the Greek government to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
