This season’s Greek Song Cycle opens with the Greek Song Competition which seeks to bring new composers, lyricists and trends to light at the arty end of the Greek Song spectrum.
An event which seeks to bring new composers, lyricists and trends to light at the arty ("entechno") end of the Greek song spectrum. The desire to bring about a renaissance in Greek song is at the very core of the activities of the Hellenic Plan group, which conceived and implemented the Cycle and seeks to revive the lost Center of Greek song and prove its ability to evolve and to redefine its ambit. An event dedicated to the most important new creations to come out of the multidimensional sphere of Greek Song.
As well as constituting an important event in its own right, the Greek Song Competition also marks the opening of the 2011-2012 Greek Song Cycle.
Educational workshops focused on the Greek Song will be held in parallel with the competition.Open Discussion: Terms and concepts in Greek Song
