Introduction

Can a seemingly useless object get a new lease of life? Sometimes, original ideas are born when one doesn’t take anything for granted, when one looks beyond what seems obvious.

Who says that the life of a carton box ends when it’s emptied? What if it could be turned into a puppet? A young person with mental disability, together with two expert pedagogists from the ALMA association (Pan-Hellenic Association of Adapted Activities), guides us through a creative journey where all that we took for granted is set aside and imagination takes the upper hand.

We handle recyclable materials and look at them with fresh eyes, creating unexpected constructions and realising how important it is for recycling to become part of our daily lives.

Above all, we discover all that unites us, whether we are disabled or not; it’s the love of life and all that surrounds it.
