Dave Holland, a legend of contemporary jazz, joins forces with Pepe Habichuela, who's coming from a Flamenco "dynasty" in Granada. Their appearance on stage promises to be an exciting musical event.
Dave Holland is a chapter in his own right in the history of contemporary jazz. Having played in the revolutionary Miles Davies ensemble from the "Bitches Brew" era, he went on to play with an impressive array of musicians including Anthony Braxton, Stan Getz, Cassandra Wilson, Jack DeJohnette, Chick Corea, Joe Henderson, Thelonious Monk, Betty Carter, Pat Metheny, Kenny Wheeler, Bill Frisell, Roy Haynes and Herbie Hancock as well as working on his own projects.
Descended from a Flamenco "dynasty" in Granada, Pepe Habichuela has introduced a number of modern elements into his music, and his collaboration with a jazz pioneer was a logical next step.
Their appearance together on stage promises to be an exciting musical event.
