Introduction

The 65+ company is embarking on a new adventure. This year, artists from other disciplines will be visiting the workshop as guest artists to offer us their gifts of knowledge along with new expressive tools.

The 65+ company will keep on blazing new trails this season. Over the last six years, its members have shown themselves open to experiential exercises and artistic expression! Which is why, this year, we’re inviting them to unwrap the gifts that pop up every so often in our dance space. Gifts... intangible and provided by artists from other fields of endeavour.

Resulting in a workshop consisting of small, autonomous units, each framed by a different guest who presents participants with their unique 'artistic gifts'. Taking dance as our core means of expression, we will then use these new tools to process our ideas and, as always, create new choreographies.

This year, our main focus will be on the relationships between the body and the city. Meaning the ways in which our interaction with the city inscribes itself on our bodies--an experience which transcends the personal to become primarily social, and therefore political.
