Between memory and intimacy | Performance Masterclass with Mario Banushi

Mario Banushi’s work is on the border between theater and visual arts and is characterized by intimacy and storytelling through the atmosphere he creates in his performances. Pain and memory are intertwined with Balkan traditions and presented with a unique sensibility.

In this masterclass, he will provide/suggest interpretative strategies that combine personal experience with the element memory, as well as an exploration of how the interpreter perceives and reveals.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about his unique surrealist aesthetic, in which the common logic of time and space is questioned, as well as to explore their own world, focusing on the most hidden aspects of the individual and the community. Furthermore, they will be invited to utilize unexplored aspects of their artistic practices.
