An interdisciplinary program aiming to explore the relationship between Greek culture and the modern world.

The Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, in collaboration with eight leading world class academic institutions (Academy of Athens, Accademia dei Lincei, Austrian Academy of Sciences, German Archaeological Institute, Institut de France, Center for Hellenic Studies of Harvard University, University of Oxford, Stanford University) organized in November 2010 the Athens Dialogues; an international conference on Greek culture and its role in modern society.

The beginning of this scientific and cultural project was highly received on an international level while more than 50.000 people watched the conference live through the internet.

Today, the Athens Dialogues form part of a wider cultural project of the Onassis Stegi. The project has evolved into an interdisciplinary program aiming to explore the relationship between Greek culture and the modern world. In the new phase an emphasis is given to the problems that concern modern man and the world that will have been formed within the next few decades. During the academic years 2012, 2013 and 2014, three yearly events will take place.

Interdisciplinary approaches, stimulating debates, diachronic perspectives and the broad participation of great minds of our times made the Athens Dialogues a unique opportunity not to be missed.
