Antonis Mavropoulos

Antonis Mavropoulos is the founder and CEO of D-Waste consultants. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of UNEP’s International Environmental Technologies Centre, and he serves as a strategy advisor for the Let’s Do It Foundation. He has served for 4 years as the President of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) and 8 years as the Chair of ISWA Scientific and Technical Committee.

He has been involved in solid waste management projects for 25 years in 30 countries. He has invented the Waste Atlas, and he has designed several information systems and mobile apps for resource recovery purposes.

His recent book “Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy” (co-authored with Anders Waage Nilsen) deals with the dynamics between the on-going fourth industrial revolution and the challenge of circular economy.
