Young Richard Kim

Dr. Young Richard Kim is associate professor and head of the Department of Classics and Mediterranean Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He first fell in love with Greek mythology as a fourth grader and has dedicated his life to teaching and writing about the ancient Mediterranean world. He lives with his wife and two sons in Oak Park, Illinois, and he tries (unsuccessfully) to convince his sons each year to learn ancient Greek and Latin. Still, they’re huge fans of mythology, so he keeps hope alive that someday they’ll follow in his footsteps.
