Vivian Stergiou
Writer Vivian Stergiou was born in 1992 in Trikala. She has studied Law in Athens, Greece and Utrecht, The Netherlands, and currently is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Law, National Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her debut short-story collection (in Greek, “Liquid Blue,” Polis Publications, 2017) was adapted for the theater and was first presented at the Experimental Stage of the National Theater of Greece under the direction of Yiannis Panagopoulos. The book received the “Menis Koumantareas” Award from the Hellenic Authors’ Society and was shortlisted for the State Short Story Award, while several of its stories were translated into French. Her second collection of short stories (in Greek, “Skin”) was published in 2022 by Polis Publications. She has translated contemporary American novels into Greek and since 2018 she has been contributing articles weekly in the Greek press. As of 2023, she collaborates with “Kathimerini” newspaper as an editor. She lives in Athens.
