Venetsiana Kalampaliki

Venetsiana Kalampaliki (she/her, 1991) works in the performing arts field as a dancer and choreographer. She explores movement through diverse media such as text and video and develops her artistic practice through interdisciplinary collaborations in the context of contemporary dance, digital and visual arts, performance and disability arts. She is a graduate of the School of Political Sciences, University of Athens, and the Greek National School of Dance and holds a MFA from the Athens School of Fine Arts. Her project “Recall” (2020-21), an Onassis Stegi production in the framework of the European network Europe Beyond Access, was presented at the 7th New Choreographers Festival of Onassis Stegi, the Holland Dance Festival, 27th Kalamata Dance Festival, Oriente Occidente Dance Festival, Skånes Dansteater and is currently on tour. In 2021 she created the digital group project “Besuch” at the 8th New Choreographers Festival of Onassis Stegi. In 2021-22 she was a choreographer in residence at K3 - Zentrum für Choreographie | Tanzplan Hamburg, where she developed her research on the integration of accessibility services within her artistic practice and presented the piece “Phrases” at Kampnagel. She has been awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS in 2022.
