Thomas Brinkmann
Thomas Brinkmann is an acclaimed conceptual electronic musician based in Cologne, Germany. He studied Visual Art at Düsseldorf Art Academy, under Oswald Wiener, Friedrich Wolfram Heubach, and Jannis Kounellis. He is known for “Klick” – a series of performances, in which he cuts and scratches the looked grooves of vinyl LPs. Brinkmann has released over 60 records and CDs of experimental electronic and acoustic music, including his celebrated work “What You Hear (Is What You Hear),” released by Editions Mego (2015), and “A Thousand Keys,” a solo piano record based on a new binary notation code.
