Stefania Goulioti

Stefania Goulioti was born in Athens. She graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece and the Drama School of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano. She has worked with directors such as Peter Stein, Frank Castorff, Serena Sinigallia, Robert Carsen, Lefteris Vogiatzis, Yannis Houvardas, Michael Marmarinos, Katerina Evangelatou, Dimitris Karantzas, Lydia Koniordou, Konstantinos Rigos, Hector Ligizos, Tomaz Pandur, Stathis Livathinos, Konstantinos Markoulakis, Odysseas Papaspiliopoulos, and Nikos Karathanos. She has played roles such as "Electra" by Sophocles, "Trisevgene" by Kostis Palamas, "The Good Person of Szechwan" by Bertold Brecht, "Miss Julie" by Strindberg, Clytemnestra in Aeschylus' “Oresteia”, "Medea," and many others, in major theaters such as the National Theater, Onassis Stegi, the Art Theater, the Epidaurus and Athens Festival, the National Theater of China, and the Piccolo Teatro di Milano. During the 2023-2024 theatrical season, she achieved great success with the performance "The Doctor," directed by Katerina Evaggelatou.

She has received the "Melina Mercouri" and "Karolos Koun" awards for her performance in Sophocles' "Electra" (directed by P. Stein), as well as the Second Award for Best Actress at the "Athinorama" magazine's Audience Awards for "The Good Person of Szechwan" (directed by K. Evaggelatou). She also won the Best Actress award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival for Menelaos Karamaghiolis' film "J.A.C.E." She has appeared in five films and three television series, and she is currently starring in the latest season of Christoforos Papakaliatis' series "Maestro," which is available on Netflix.

Since 2009, she has been teaching acting at various schools, including the Athens Conservatory and the Department of Theater Studies at the National Kapodistrian University; she is also developing her own method, which is called "Flowing Through."
