Spyros Skandalos

Spyros Skandalos is a filmmaker, born in Athens. He studied Audiovisual Arts at the Ionian University. His latest short, “Horsepower,” was awarded with Golden Athena Award and the Best Female Acting Award at the 27th Athens International Film Festival. At the 44th Drama International Short Film Festival, “Horsepower” won the Special Jury Award, the Cinematography Award and the Greek Society of Cinematographers’ Visual Storytelling Award. His short fiction film “Ilena” received the Best Film Award and the Audience Award at the 2nd Short Film Competition of the Onassis Foundation. Spyros is currently developing a new short and a feature documentary supported by the JF Costopoulos Foundation.
