Selana Vrondi
Journalist and Filmmaker

Selana Vrondi is a journalist and filmmaker. For many years, she has worked for major newspapers and magazines as a cultural editor. In addition to journalism, she directs documentaries and artistic videos that are presented at film festivals and exhibitions in Greece and internationally. She studied at the Department of Communication, Media, and Culture at Panteion University, Athens, while she attended two postgraduate programs, one on the documentary film genre and the other on digital arts, at the Athens School of Fine Arts. The video clip of "Song To The Sirens"—commissioned by the Greek band Mechanimal for their titular song (2015)—was screened at the Onassis Stegi in the framework of the discussion “Something's up with the Greek family” (April 28, 2015). Her latest film, entitled "The Apartment Building" (2020), describes the Greek model of mass housing in the era of economic, energy, and housing crises.
