Savvas Stavrou
Savvas Stavrou is a Cyprus-born and London-based writer and director. An alumnus of Sundance Lab, Berlinale Talents, BFI Network @LFF (London Film Festival), and Zurich Academy, his shorts have been screened at international film festivals worldwide. His work “A Jar of Nuts” received the Best Short Film award at the Oscar-qualifying Tirana International Film Festival.
He is currently developing his next short, “When the Music Stopped,” with the support of ERT (the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation); as well as his first feature, “The Ones Left Behind,” which was one of eight projects selected to participate at the Sundance Mediterranean Screenwriters Lab in 2018.
