Panos Dragonas
Panos Dragonas is an architect and Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Patras, Greece. He has edited reviews and has published extensively on new Greek architecture and the contemporary city. From 2001 to 2013, he was consultant editor of the annual reviews “Architecture in Greece” and “Design + Art in Greece.” In 2012 he was joint commissioner of the Greek participation at the 13th Venice Biennale of Architecture. In 2017, he co-curated the exhibition “Tomorrows: Urban Fictions for Possible Futures” which was shown in Athens and Nantes, France (2019). In 2016, he was a Stanley J. Seeger ’52 Visiting Research Fellow in Hellenic Studies at Princeton University. He is currently working on two researches, one on the process of modernization in Athens through the “flats-for-land” system and the movie industry, and another on the re-evaluation of Takis Ch. Zenetos’ Electronic Urbanism in line with the recent technological and social developments.
