Onur Çimen

Onur Çimen is a writer and cultural worker. They studied philosophy and politics in Turkey and graduated with an MA in Curating Art at Stockholm University. They worked for the Flying Broom Women’s Film Festival and Pink Life QueerFest as programmer, co-coordinator and editor. He translated into Turkish two books and several articles on queer theory and culture, cinema, and art. Their writings have been featured on ArtUnlimited, Sanat Dünyamız, K24 among others. Since 2019, they are a member of the curatorial team at SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin, Germany and working for various projects there. Among some of the recent publications they worked on are translations of "i will not have a moment of silence either" by Gani-Meth and the co-edited volume "Oracular Visions, In the Darkness of the Night".
