Nikos Galenianos

Nikos Galenianos studied piano, advanced music theory, and law in Athens, and music composition at the Classical Music Academy of Rotterdam (Codarts), with Peter Jan Wagemans, Robin de Raaff, and Rene Uijlenhoet. His music works have been played, among others, at Gaudeamus Muziekweek (Utrecht), De Doelen and Boijmans van Beuningen contemporary arts museum (Rotterdam), Den Haag Spring Festival. In April 2019 his music-theater work, “Return, a polyphonic work based on the original text of Dante’s ‘Inferno’,” was staged at the Greek National Opera Alternative Stage.Active in the theater field as well, he has worked with directors such as Nikita Milivojevic, Thomas Moschopoulos, Kostas Filippoglou, and with theater groups including Patari Project and Fly Theatre. In Greece, his works have been presented at venues such as Onassis Stegi, Athens Concert Hall – Megaron, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Greek National Opera, National Theater of Greece, National Theater of Northern Greece, and the ancient theaters of Epidaurus.
