Navine G. Dossos is a member of the Selection Committee of the Onassis AiR OPEN CALL 2025/26.
Navine G. Dossos* (she/her, b. 1982) is a visual artist based on Aegina in Greece. Her interests include geometry as information and decoration, image calibration, and aniconism in contemporary culture. She has developed a form of geometric abstraction that merges the traditions of Islamic art with the algorithmic and symbolic nature of the interconnected world we live in. This is not the formal abstraction we understand from the Western history of art, but something essentially informational and committed to investigation and communication. Her work is increasingly developed through collective workshop sessions and exists mostly in the public realm. She is part of the Vessel artistic collective on Aegina.
She has exhibited in Europe and the USA and has been commissioned by the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Towner Eastbourne, the Athens Biennale, the Istanbul Design Triennale, EVA International, and the Venice Biennale of Architecture. Her work can be found at http://navinegdossos.com/ and https://vessel-aegina.com/en.
