Medea Electronique

Founded in 2006, and based in Athens, Medea Electronique is an artists’ collective committed to the collaborative creation of new and cross media art. Each member of the collective brings expertise in one or more creative practices, along with a rich theoretical understanding of collective art-making.

To date Medea Electronique has produced theatrical works, operas, electroacoustic musical performances, installations, animations, video art, and numerous site-specific cross-art performances.

Medea hosts the annual international residency for new media art, Koumaria, at an organic olive oil farm near Sparti, attracting innovative artists from around the globe. Reknown for the high quality and thoroughness of the documentation of its art, Medea is working at the cutting-edge of the design of new media art archives.
