Marios Markatis

Marios Markatis was born in Athens, in 1996. He grew up in the greater Athens municipality of Vyronas and from an early age he observed and photographed graffiti on the walls. In 2009, influenced by all those stimuli, he decided to engage himself with this activity and one year before graduating from high school (5th General School of Vyronas) his collective, ‘U can't stop Us’, was founded, which in essence comprised of his friends who also engaged with graffiti. After completing his studies in Physiotherapy, he realized that his hobby was growing into a full-fledged professional activity, undertaking commissions by various spaces. So, while keeping up ‘painting’ throughout the year, he found himself preparing for the entrance exams to the Athens School of Fine Arts and has not ceased to do what he best loves from an early age.
