Maria Schiza
Maria Schiza studied Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Athens and holds an MSc in Cognitive Science. She is a candidate psychoanalyst with the Hellenic Psychoanalytical Society and has received training in individual and group therapy.
She has twenty years of clinical experience working with young people, adults, and addicts' families and has served as scientific coordinator of the Family Department of the 18 Ano / PsNA Addiction Unit from 2004 to 2023.
She organizes training seminars, supervision, and conferences for students and mental health professionals.
She has worked as a team coordinator for several Municipalities around Attica, public and private special education centers, and rehabilitation programs in detention centers and other mental health facilities. She previously worked as an addiction consultant for the Ministry of Health's Mental Health Sector in 2015 and 2016.
Since 2007, she has practiced as a private psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
Finally, she has co-authored several educational books (Livani Publications).
