Marcel Isaiah Martinez
Marcel Isaiah Martinez is an actor, playwright, and singer from the Bronx in New York. He started studying theater at 11 and has never looked back. Theater is his discipline; to participate in art is both essential and an honor. His credits include “Rent” (as Mark) at Urban Assembly for Performing Arts, “Arduna Chatmon Must Change” (as J) at Reading MCC Theater, “What to Send Up When It Goes Down” (as Seven) at SUNY Purchase, and “Soft” (as Jamal) at Reading MCC Theater. Isaiah received his BA in theater and performance from SUNY Purchase in 2022, where he premiered his play “Death to Masculinity”, a black queer coming-of-age story. He would like to give a shout-out to the Bronx, a su gente Garífuna y hondureña, and to art for giving him a purpose that he wasn’t able to see.
