Mara Petra

Mara Petra is an architect based in Athens. She holds an ΜΑ from UPatras and an MFA from Parsons School of Design. Worked on projects of various scale and nature, ranging from airport design, housing, and urban design to exhibitions & installations. As a core member of Open Architecture Collaborative, she co-organized participatory design workshops, and investigated the role of the local communities in the production of urban space. She is interested in urban regeneration through adaptive re-use practices, and temporary interventions as an exploration tool for longer-term building uses.
