Manolis Mavris
Manolis Mavris studied graphic design and animation and holds an MA in Visual Communication following postgraduate studies in London. His films have premiered at major film festivals such as Cannes, SXSW, and BFI London. In 2021, his short film “Brutalia, Days of Labour” won the Canal+ award at the 60th Semaine de la Critique of Cannes, and two years later, his film “Midnight Skin” premiered at the same festival. His work focuses on the concept of ‘heterotopia’ and explores the boundaries between the real and the imaginary. Manolis is currently preparing his debut feature film, “Liar Man.” His script was awarded in Cannes‘ NEXT STEP 2023.
