Lambis Xylouris

Lambis Xylouris was born in Anogeia. He began playing music as a child, mainly experimenting with string instruments, such as the mandolin, the lyre, the medieval, twelve-string, Cretan lutes, the lavta, the oud, the boulgari, the guitar, the tambur, and the yayli tambur.

At the age of 15, he appeared for the first time in a music event alongside his father Psarantonis, playing mandolin, twelve-string and Cretan lute.

In 2001, his first solo album with his own compositions, “Mesogeios,” was released from Seistron label, followed by the albums “Mystiko Taxidi,” “Tabahaniotika,” “Anatolikos Anemos,” “Trikouria,” and “Tabahaniotika Organic.“

Since the 1990s, he appears and participates in various music performances in Greece and abroad, with diverse music groups and artists, such as Leonidas Klados, Panayiotis Katsikiotis, Vinicio Capossela, Chainides, among others.
