Kostas Chaliasas
Kostas Chaliasas (b. 1992) is a PhD candidate in Music Composition and Cinema at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). He holds a BA and an MA in Music Composition from AUTh and an MA in Film and Theater Composition from Ionian University.
He has directed and/or composed music for short films premiered and awarded at international film festivals (Austin International Film Festival, Seoul International Youth Film Festival, Athens International Film Festival, Drama International Short Film Festival, et al.). He participated at the Sarajevo International Film Festival (2018) as a ‘Sarajevo Talent.’ He has received two international first prizes from Centre Xenakis (France) for his video and music installations, which premiered in the USA, France, Japan, and Mexico. He has also been awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS (2022).More in:
