Kayla Bennett

Kayla Bennett was born and raised in the Bronx. Kayla Graduated with her B.A in theater from SUNY Buffalo State college. In college she was an ensemble member for their production of “The Color Purple” and played Raylynn in “Blood at the Root” by Dominique Morisseau, done at the “Paul Robeson theater” in Buffalo NY. She also toured inner city Buffalo public schools with a show that was created by the Buffalo State theater department in partnership with Andrew Khan and Eve Everett with the “Anne Frank project”. After college, Kayla explored improv comedy, and became a cast member of Comedy Sportz Buffalo. Her recent credit includes a digital book promo commercial for Hadiatou Wann’s new childrens book “The power of Dua” and she will be making her short film debut as Benvolio in the Romeo and Juliet Short film directed by Michelle Beck in collaboration with Epic Theatre ensemble and Sanaa in “Generation Rise” directed by Sara Zatz and Kirya Traber done at the “New Victory Theater”. Kayla is back in New York City and is always eager to grow as an Artist.
