Katerina Demetriou

Katerina Demetriou lives in Agia Varvara. She graduated from a Technical Vocational High School trained as a Computer Programming Assistant. In 1998 she attended a 600-hour training seminar of the General Secretariat of Popular Education titled “Mediators.” Her first professional experience was at the Municipality of Agia Varvara as a mediator in 1999-2000. She has worked as a telephone operator at a TV station and at a courier company for several years. She is the president of the organization “SKYTALI” (i.e. ‘relay’), which was founded in 2016 and provides services to vulnerable social groups. Since 2017 she has been working as a mediator in a Roma branch community center – until May 2022 in the Municipality of Megara, and from June 2022 until today in the Municipality of Agia Varvara.
