Jannis Anastasakis

Jannis Anastasakis (b. 1984) is characterized by his distinct approach to the guitar as a generator of original and atmospheric sounds, and by his in-depth engagement with effects (he is also a designer and maker of JAM pedals).

His music is a mix of ambient and psychedelia that walks the line between melody and noise, often pushing past “acceptable” limits.

He has worked with artists from the Greek and international music scenes (Arve Henriksen, Eivind Aarset, Christian Fennesz, Haig Yazdjian, Thodoris Rellos, Mihalis Siganidis, Dionysis Savvopoulos, Harris Lambrakis, Savina Yannatou, Lena Platonos, Floros Floridis, and others), as well as with directors and choreographers (Thodoris Abazis, La Coja Dansa, and others).

He also pursues personal projects (Elektronik Meditation, “Sound of Color”), including a newly formed duo with visual artist Natalia Manta.
