Gianna Kouka
Gianna Kouka has been working for the public service since 1996, in the sports field and, recently, specializing in competitive sports for individuals with disability. Speaking two foreign languages (English and French), Gianna has worked previously at the Leros island’s State Psychiatric Hospital, during the psychiatric reform period – as assistant psychologist at the psychosocial and deinstitutionalization program, she contributed to the evacuation of Lepida 11th Kiosk and the patients’ relocation. Her articles on refugees. gender-based violence, racism and social discrimination are published on ARTI NEWS. Gianna, a mother of two, is also engaged with refugee solidarity and human rights groups.
