My research combines economics and philosophy with an exploratory artistic practice. My focus is the institution of money, its socioeconomic functions and the technologies that support it. As part of my research, I have been experimenting with different media and practices, but my main focus is the language –both written and spoken– which carries the main output of my work. I have already published three books and numerous articles in different outlets, while I have given lectures and performances in various venues internationally. Currently, I divide my time between working on a book on the contribution of distributed ledgers in the automation of the economic system to be published as part of the ‘Routledge International Studies in Money and Banking’ book series, and investigating a new model of practice-based PhD research in the arts at the Αthens School of Fine Arts. My next project speculates on the possibility of the development of affective connections between humans and intelligent machines starting from the theological foundations of philanthropy and moving towards a robot economy.
