Gavriil Kamaris

Gavriil Kamaris was born in Larissa, Greece, in 1984. He is an electrical engineer and a PhD Candidate at the University of Patras, whereas he also holds a degree in cello performance. His research interests pertain to Room Correction and archaeoacouctics. He has worked as a house sound engineer, and he currently works as an electrical engineer.

In his leisure time, he makes use of science and technology so as to create “sounds.” He has implemented various artistic projects, the most important being the first performance in the world featuring a binaural dummy on stage (“Mes ti mera / To sfalma tou Romaiou [During the Day / Romeo’s Error] – 104 Theater, May 2012); his participation in Citysonic Festival 2014 in Mons, Belgium; and his collaboration with the guitarist Andreas Georgiou in the “Salvador Dali Musichorama” project.
