Eylül Fidan Akıncı is a Ph.D. candidate in Theater and Performance program at The Graduate Center, City University of New York. She works independently as a dramaturg in theater, choreography, and visual arts across the USA, Europe, and Turkey. Her doctoral research analyzes the dramaturgy of objects and materiality in contemporary choreography through a feminist lens, and creates a trajectory across Pina Bausch, Eiko Otake, La Ribot, Mette Ingvartsen, Gisèle Vienne, and Geumhyung Jeong. Her writing on performance has appeared in “TDR: The Drama Review” and “Etcetera Magazine.”
