Diogo da Cruz

Diogo da Cruz is an artist based in Berlin and Lisbon. Through the production of objects, installations, and video works, his practice has been materializing partially fictitious scenarios that refer to past, present, or future socio-political circumstances. Myths and speculations are created from scientific references, historical documents, and experiences of specific geographies, with the strong intention of stimulating critical reflection on the systems of knowledge that have been exploiting and colonizing so-called “nature”.

Diogo da Cruz is participant of the Onassis AiR Extended Research Residencies program for 2024/25.
