Danai Belosinof

Danai Belosinof (b. 1993, Greece/Bulgaria) is an Amsterdam-based composer and performer. She studied contemporary composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, with special focus on Karnatic rhythm techniques and Indonesian javanese gamelan. She composes and creates interdisciplinary performances with sound at their core. In particular, she investigates the subjectivity of our perception of time and space and ways in which sound can sculpt it, the function of human voice and language and music’s role as an expression of primitivism in humans.
