Christina Dalla
Dr. Christina Dalla is a Professor of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens - EKPA, based at the Aretaieion University Hospital. She is President of the Mediterranean Neurosciences Society and has served as President of the Hellenic Society for Neuroscience.
She is also a founding member and President of the newly established Hellenic Brain Council and is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Brain Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Association of Academic Women - ELEGYP and a founding member and Treasurer of the Institute of Stress Biology and Medicine. She has served on committees for both the Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity and the National Agency for Medicines.
She studied Pharmacy at the University of Athens before completing her PhD at the School of Medicine of the University of Athens and the University of Liege in Belgium. She received two European Marie Curie Fellowships in 2001 and 2007 and completed three years of postdoctoral studies at Rutgers University in the United States. She has received several awards, including the Young Women in Science award from L'Oreal-Unesco and the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Fellowship award in 2015. She has a significant research and publication record, with approximately 100 publications and book chapters.
She is a member of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology’s Targeted Group on Psychedelics and has recently written scientific papers and research proposals on the topic of psychedelics as new drugs.
