Billie Kark
Billie Kark
Billie Kark is an artist based in Athens, Greece. Her musical vision is to set her imagination free to create something unusual and unexpected. She aspires to connect two different musical genres: electronic music and traditional Greek songs. Being Greek, she likes to experiment with indigenous elements such as polyphony, Greek lyrics and idioms, and sometimes local instruments.
Things like nature, folklore tradition, and magic have always been the source of her inspiration, and her favorite topics to write about are freedom, death, and rebirth. Her sound can be described as ambient and ethereal, and sometimes dark and mysterious. She enjoys combining sharp textures with soft and soothing vocals and melodies. During her performance, Billie hopes to transport us to a world full of mythical creatures, like fairies and other spirits of the forests, and help us get lost in our imagination while dancing.
