Barbara Van Lindt is a jury member of the Onassis AiR Programs 2019-20.
Barbara Van Lindt (Belgium, 1966) holds a master degree in Philosophy and a post graduate certificate in Theatre Studies.
She gained most of her experience in the professional field, with two recurrent interests: performing arts in a globalized world and the support of young artists' development. At the Gasthuis Theater (Amsterdam, 1997–2001) and wpZimmer (Antwerp, 2002–2006), she created and directed workplaces for emerging artists in the fields of theatre, performance and dance. At Kunstenfestivaldesarts (Brussels, 2006–2009) she collaborated on the program as curator. From 2009 until 2018, when she chose to step down, she was the head of department of DAS Theatre (formerly known as DasArts), the international master program for theatre makers and curators based in Amsterdam. There she invested in creating productive peer environments, and developing a feedback method and culture. As member of the board of DAS Graduate School, she contributed to shaping institutional change processes.
At the moment she takes some time to re-orientate herself professionally.
