Athanasios Anagnostopoulos

Dr. Athanasios I. Anagnostopoulos, hailing from Priolithos, Kalavryta, was born in Athens in 1978 and grew up in Athens and Patras, Greece. He studied Law in Athens between 1996 and 2000. In 2002, he received a postgraduate diploma in Criminal Law/Criminal Procedure with honors, while in 2007 he was awarded a Doctorate of Laws from the University of Athens in Criminal Law with honors. He is the author of two books on indirect perpetrators (“Emmesi Aftourgia,” 2007) and self-defense (“Amyna,” 2009), and he has recently translated Robert Nozick’s study “Anarchy, State, and Utopia” into Greek. He has worked as a scientific associate for the Greek Parliament, as an editor at the “Poinika Chronika” journal, as a teaching assistant at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2011, and as a lecturer at the University of Nicosia in 2024. He has been practicing law in Athens since 2002. He also studied Theology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Art History at the Athens School of Fine Arts. He can read and write in English, German, Italian, Spanish, and French. He is a married father of three children.
