Dance theorist, dramaturg and essayist

Anastasios Koukoutas is a dance theorist, dramaturg and essayist. In the publications sector, he has collaborated with such arts organizations as the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Onassis Stegi, the Dimitria Festival, and the Athens Megaron Concert Hall Organization (OMMA). As a dramaturg, he has worked on numerous theater and dance performances (at the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, Onassis Stegi, the Greek National Theater Experimental Stage, the Arc for Dance Festival, Porta Theater, and elsewhere). As a dance theorist, he regularly writes articles for the online media platforms dancepress.gr, springbackmagazine.com and artivist.gr, and teaches history of dance at the AKTINA Dance School. Last but not least, he has appeared as a performer in the works of Denis Savary (Prologues – National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens / EMST, 2016), Virgilio Sieni (Venice Dance Biennale, 2016), Pierre Bal-Blanc (documenta 14, 2017), Dora Garcia (Athens Megaron Concert Hall, 2018), and others.
