Anastasia Vaitsopoulou
Anastasia Vaitsopoulou is a journalist. She writes on human rights, focusing on gender and its intersections with other social aspects, such as migration and refugee issues and the climate crisis. She is actively involved in video and documentary production, in collaboration with Sphera Network and Popaganda. Her most recent co-production, “Transistence,” was screened at the Athens International Film Festival. She is also a member of Medfeminiswiya, a network of feminist journalists in the Mediterranean region. She has studied Communication and Media at the University of Athens and has completed the postgraduate program “Gender, Society, Politics” at Panteion University. She has won the first prize in the journalism contest “Write for Inclusion,” while she also works as an adult educator, coordinating workshops with the “Active Citizens” methodology on inclusion and equality.
