Bio

Anastasia Natasa Diavasti's artistic practice includes performance, curating, photography and video for both individual and collaborative projects. Drawing from pop culture and the current sociopolitical sphere, she creates performative experiments stretching the seams of art and activism. She is interested in social and cultural constructions and roles of feminine identities, as well as the exploration of symbiosis, as an artistic and social structure. She lives and works in Athens since 2006.

Anastasia holds a BA(Hons) in Mixed Media Art from the University of Westminster and a MA in Film, Video and New Screen Media from the University of East London, where she lived between 1999-2006. She has organized and taken part in independent projects in Greece and abroad, while also experienced work in cultural institutions such as the V&A and Tate Modern in London. She decided to direct these experiences in securing and running a permanent collaborative space in Αthens, establishing STOA FEXI in April 2019 in Omonia. The space houses, among other projects, her new initiative NTIZEZA, an art platform for the support, educatiοn and celebration of femininities and feminist artists.

Anastasia Diavasti is a participant of The School of Infinite Rehearsals of Οnassis AiR 2020-21 and of the Tailor-made Fellowships program 2022-23.
