Alvise Sinivia

As a pianist, improviser, composer and performer, he collaborates with a wide range of artists (dancers, choreographers, circus artists, video artists, painters, visual artists). A restless spirit, he is constantly searching and renewing his relationship with the piano. For a number of years now, he has been exploring the peculiarities of the instrument, the limits of its sound and its physiology. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris under Alain Planès and Emmanuel Strosser. Dedicated to contemporary musical creation, he frequently collaborates with composers and works with the Orchestre de Nouvelles Créations, Expérimentations et Improvisations Musicales. A founder and artistic director of the WARNING collective, he also initiates projects with musicians of his own generation (Olivier Stankiewicz, Giani Caserotto, Vincent Le Quang ...). As a resident fellow in performance at the Villa Medicis for 2016–2017, he explored the relationship between movement and sound in greater depth.
